Let’s be 100% honest with one another…Macaroni and Cheese is one of those foods that truly just makes my heart happy. There is something so decadent and downright delicious about that spoonful (or forkful if you prefer it that way!) that I literally cannot say no to. And while I know that some people will eat that boxed macaroni and cheese, the only “right” way for me is to eat it homemade and smothered in cheese. In fact, this Easy Baked Macaroni and Cheese recipe are probably one of the best recipes that I’ve ever eaten with it comes to the good ol’ Mac & Cheese.

Nothing makes better macaroni cheese than loads of shredded cheese.

Not only it is unique in the fact that it’s baked, but it’s literally made and smothered with 3 (yes, you read that right!) different kinds of cheese! Talk about some seriously cheesy goodness! This is one of those recipes that will be a keeper in your recipe book for many years to come.

And did I mention that not only is it delicious, it’s also super simple to make as well? There is literally no reason to not give this Easy Baked Macaroni and Cheese recipe a try! Trust me on this one…Your taste buds will thank you!

Easy Baked Macaroni and Cheese

Baked Mac & Cheese

Enjoy this delicious, cheesy baked macaroni and cheese.

  • Total Time: 45-50 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • ¼ cup reserved starch water (or milk)
  • 3 cups mild cheddar (shredded)
  • 1 cup mozzarella
  • ½ cup parmesan
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F.
  2. Prepare pasta as directed, al dente.
  3. If using- reserve a quarter cup of starchy water before draining pasta.
  4. Drain pasta and return to pan.
  5. Mix in butter and cream cheese until melted/soft.
  6. Add in seasonings and liquid- milk or starch water.
  7. Add in half of the cheddar and all of the mozzarella and parmesan.
  8. Mix until the cheese is melted.
  9. Pour into an 11×13 pan.
  10. Sprinkle the rest of the cheddar over the top.
  11. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  12. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
