Hey there! In this post we will be sharing an amazing recipe for Moms Best Turkey Meatloaf Recipe. What makes this meatloaf more special than other meatloaf recipes? The ingredients. As you can tell by now, we’re not making meatloaf with ground beef. Instead we are going to make a delicious meatloaf with ground turkey, and mild turkey Italian sausage!
This turkey meatloaf is seasoned with delicious sweet bell peppers, onions, and garlic. We also use basic seasonings like simple salt & pepper.
For this turkey meatloaf recipe, you won’t need any bread! Instead we use oatmeal. Be sure to use quick oats for this meatloaf recipe, and not regular oatmeal… Yes, it makes a difference 😉
Aside from the ingredients mentioned, we also like to add a nice amount of fresh spinach in our meatloaf! Believe it or not, it adds a ton of flavor, and it’s also a great way way to sneak in some veggies!

Mom's Best Turkey Meatloaf Recipe with Spinach
This is the best meatloaf ever, it’s super moist and tasty! Use the leftovers for sandwiches for a multipurpose recipe!
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 lb mild Turkey Italian Sausage
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup quick oats
- 1 large green bell pepper (diced)
- 1 large red bell pepper (diced)
- 9 oz fresh spinach (chopped finely)
- 6 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 large sweet onion (diced)
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp ground pepper
- 1 cup ketchup
- Heat the oven to 350 F.

Combine all of the ingredients (except the ketchup!) in a large bowl, and mix using hands.
- Form a loaf.
- Once the loaf is formed, lightly oil a 13 by 9 inch baking pan.
- Place the loaf into the baking dish.
- Bake in the oven for 1 hour.
- Remove from the oven, and pour the ketchup on top.
- Place back into the oven for 10 minutes.
- Remove from the oven, and let cool.
